Re: Your Favourite Burger Combinations
My homemade burgers (combination of ground chuck and ground sirloin steak). With some seasoning, Lea and Perrins, very finely chopped salad onions.

Wholemeal bap.

Lightly melted cheddar cheese on the bun.

Merest smearing of mayo one side of the bun, tomato sauce the other.

That ugly, waxy fake kind of yellow cheese on the top

My own top-secret burger meat recipe

Loads of pickled jalapeño

Rocket, onion and proper pickles

Absolutely no silly sauces but I do like this idea of the gravy-infused bun.

Fuck off you cunts

I've read some absolute lunacy on here over the years but learning that more than two human beings consider cheese on a burger to be weird has blown my fucking head off.

Burger + cheese is the most normal combo in the world ffs?!

Its like going "YOU PUT SALT AND PEPPER ON CHIPS??!! PIKEY!!"

The Red Garter in Tucson Arizona does the greatest burger in the world.

It sort of ruined burgers for me after that though, nowt lives up to it.

However...Birds Eye beef burgers, grilled, on crusty rolls, with Anchor butter and Heinz ketchup.

Yes.

Takes me back to the days of my childhood.

No cheese. No mayo. No fucking bone marrow fucking gravy.

Re: Your Favourite Burger Combinations
I would hesitate to call those bright yellow radioactive slices of rubberised shoe leather that Americans put on burgers CHEESE but a few scrapings of a nice mature cheddar add to the burger experience.
